Create beautiful and bold finishes on your cakes using this oil-based food colouring range from the ever-popular Colour Mill.
Colour mill has created a food colouring that is perfect for cakes and buttercream because they have removed any water-based ingredients from their recipe and replaced them with an oil-friendly base and emulsifier.
They work brilliantly with buttercream, swiss buttercream, chocolate, cake batter, ganache and sugar pastes. Almost anything food-wise you'd like to colour, Colour Mill is the food colouring for you!
Colour Mill not only is the best food colouring for your cakes, but it is also the one that gives you the best value for money. Due to the high concentration of Colour Mill products you only need to start with a tiny drop to build up your colour, which develops over time and doesn't fade.
We would recommend you use a maximum of 2% of the weight of the food item you're colouring.
The bottle has a squeeze top dispense lid for ease of use. Please also be aware that the bottles may seem different weights, this is due to the pigments used being different weights, each bottle is filled to the top.

Allergen Information:
Allergen-Free
Gluten-Free
Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans (excluding colours containing E120)
Suitable for Kosher Diet
Note on the E120:
Reformulated Colours – do not include E127 colouring, it has been replaced with E120 (Carmine food colouring)
Halal certification – there’s always confusion around whether E120 can be regarded as Halal. Various religious authorities and scholars disagree, so no matter what the manufacturer states some customers will also disagree. This is a matter for Muslim academics, but our understanding is that under the Maliki school of thought, carmine (E120) is permissible if prepared in the correct manner. The UAE has stated that within Sharia Law, E120 is Halal. Colour Mill have full Halal certification. Some Muslims from other schools of thought may disagree about it being Halal.
The 8 colours containing E120 include: Candy Pink, Hot Pink, Purple, Raspberry, Rose Pink, Baby Pink, Lavender & Lilac
Please make your own informed decision as to whether this affects you.
